Each student must show proficiency in basic sewing machine skills or must have completed a minimum of one prerequisite class. This is not a beginning sewing class. You may bring a portable machine.

The table runner project will take four workshops to complete if you do not have a sewing machine at home.

The project for the beginning quilting workshop is a table runner made of 42 5” charm squares. Students will select their fabrics, cut them into 5” squares and arrange them to their liking in the first workshop. The second workshop will be sewing the squares together. In the third, the students will assemble the sandwich of backing, batting, and top and begin sewing. The fourth workshop will be topstitching and quilting to finish the topper.
